Packaging with Esko + Adobe Illustrator

GRC 337: Consumer Packaging

Created the branding, corrugated structure, and graphics of the packaging for a cat water fountain concept in Esko and Adobe Illustrator over 10-weeks in collaboration with the product development team in University of Stuttgart, Germany.

As my team lead, I led the communication between our team of four and the product team in Germany.

Box prototype photos: front open view, interior side open, and interior side closed

Our first prototype

Box prototype photos: back with cat door cutout, interlocking edge, and a cat using the box

Concept: we wanted the box to still hold purpose after unboxing. We decided to diecut a little door in the back that could be punched out as a cat door.

We used Esko and Illustrator to design the graphics of the packaging, preflight it, and view it in the 3D space.

Printed and die-cut on a Zund.
